Discover, enjoy and create fine radiant art on silk using the Gutta Serti Technique. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! Everyone is successful! This is an incredible artform where no mistakes can be made. Students will delve into and learn resist application, color blending, salt techniques, color discharge and paint applications to create silk scarves or silk fabric for quilting or a silk painting to frame. Students will complete 1-2 Silk Scarves or 1-2 16”x20” paintings which can be framed, collaged, sewn into pillows, etc.

A myriad of design ideas, reference books and handout packet provided.

9:30a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Materials Fee of $15- $30, depending on class, payable to artist at the workshop. Contact teacher for details.
