1. What situation or person motivated you to pursue art?  
I was always that kid in school that would bring a disposable camera and take pictures of everyone. I’ve never stopped taking pictures. It’s only been recently due to COVID that I’ve been able to devote the time that I’ve always wanted to taking great photos and really push myself to learn more. 

2. From where do you draw your inspiration to create art?  
My inspiration comes from the world around me. Something will catch my eye, and in that moment, it demands to be captured. To be frozen in time. I can see something and an emotion or a thought will pop in my head, and that is what the image embodies. 

3. What emotion are you trying to create for your audience through your art?  
For every emotion there is an emotion that they’ve never felt before. I want them to get out of their comfort zone and see the world in a different way. 

4. Does an artist have an obligation to make a statement with their art? 
Yes, even if that statement is nothing more than to make you smile. Art, in my opinion, should create a change in the person viewing it. Whether that is a positive or negative change, you should walk away and still be thinking of what you just experienced. 

5. Was there ever a time when giving up was the right thing to do?  
No, never. There have been times when giving up was the easy thing to do, but there is never a time when it’s the right thing to do. 

6. Is there something in your past career that would surprise people? 
I think there is a lot about my past that would surprise people, but we’ll save that for the Autobiography.   

7. What do you see as the most important attributes of a successful artist?  
I think the ability to see the world differently, whether that is good or bad, is very important to be a successful artist and to not be afraid to share that with the world. The ability to change how someone thinks or feels through art is an amazing gift to have. Not everyone has that gift.  

8. What is the most valuable life lesson you learned from creating art?
To never give up, and to think outside of the box and see beauty in everything. Just open your eyes to world around you.
