About Erin Bassett
Erin Bassett is an award-winning artist from Fort Lauderdale who creates luxury wearable art pieces that transform her collectors into living works of art. The handcrafted collection of accessories is meticulously fashioned through a reimagining of Shibori, an ancient Japanese technique used to create intricate shapes from silk fabric.
Erin’s inspiration is derived from the ocean and her pieces are an homage to a vibrant undersea landscape. “I’m fascinated with the interplay of strong color and abstract shapes, Bassett explains. “By combining yards of silk fabric, metal washers, glass beads, and rubber bands, I can create wearable sculptures which are both unexpected and timeless.”
A creative visionary, Bassett’s remarkable design acumen inspired a vibrant collection of sophisticated wearable art pieces that sell in fashion houses, boutiques, and department stores throughout the United States.
