ArtServe is seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to serve on our Board of Trustees, helping to shape the future of our organization and championing the transformative power of the arts. Board of Trustees Primary Responsibility to the ArtServe Organization
At ArtServe, we believe that the arts have the power to transform lives and shape communities. As a member of our esteemed Board of Trustees, your main responsibility will be to champion and drive fundraising efforts that will ensure the long-term sustainability and growth of our organization.

Why Fundraising Matters
Fundraising is the lifeblood of any nonprofit organization, and ArtServe is no exception. As a Board member, your commitment to fundraising will directly impact our ability to provide essential programs, support local artists, and engage the community through diverse artistic experiences. By raising funds, you contribute to our mission and ensure that the arts continue to thrive.
Board of Trustees Commitments:

1. Two-Year Term: ArtServe’s Board of Trustees serves a two-year term, allowing you to make a meaningful and lasting impact on the arts community.
2. Philanthropic Priority: We expect our Board members to make ArtServe a philanthropic priority, actively advocating for the importance of the arts and making an annual minimum contribution of $500 to support our programs and initiatives.5. Monthly Board Meetings: Board members are expected to attend a minimum of 6 Board of Trustee meetings held each month (third Tuesday, 5:30 pm), actively participating in discussions, decision-making, and strategic planning to guide ArtServe’s future. Also, mandatory participation in the half-day Board retreat in the Fall, usually.
6. Committee Participation: Each Board member is expected to serve on a committee that aligns with their skills, interests, and expertise. Committee work is essential to advancing our programs, fundraising efforts, marketing strategies, and community engagement initiatives.
7. Attend events and bring someone new to events to help advocate for the organization and promotion of local art. Refer and/or recruit artists you may know to the organization, recommend renting the facility to groups that need event or workshop space, and encourage gift shop and art sales.
Recruit volunteers. Recommend qualified board members. If you know students seeking service hours, organizations to do a “done-in-a-day” project or individuals willing to invest a few hours to a volunteer project, please have them contact ArtServe.
Promote ARTSERVE to your own networks. Post on your Facebook page to spread the word! Tweet if you are on twitter. Become an advocate for the organization to help it continue to grow and meet our mission. Comment, like, and share ArtServe posts frequently to expand our branding and exposure and cultivate new supporters.
