Audition Technique – Castings are a required part of the business. They can be nerve racking and without the proper skillset, a waste of your time and detrimental to your career, there are no second chances. In an ever-changing industry of technology, castings are held in person or “self-taped”. Learn all facets of the art of casting so you are prepared and professional.
Week 3: Rising Stars
A parents’ guide to getting their child into the entertainment business – Do you get stopped everywhere you go and told “your child should model”? This seminar is geared toward the parents/guardians who are looking to enter their child into the exciting world of acting and modeling. There are a lot of companies pushing costly and misguided services. Learn from the areas prominent industry professionals of how to properly propel your child into the spotlight.
Week 4: Strike a Pose
A photo posing experience – Clients expect professional models to show up to set prepared, knowledgeable of their movements and expressions, and know their lighting. They are not there to direct your every move. Instead of learning outdated modeling courses, this segment is designed to go through a real photoshoot session and learn what works for you and find your signature look! You will learn everything from what to bring to a shoot and hair and make-up styling tips, to actually working in a studio or location while obtaining working images for your portfolio. You will be prepared to enter a professional set and know exactly what is expected of you as a professional photo model.
Week 5: On the Catwalk
Runway basics – Runway Modeling is an art. To make it look effortless and to book the job, you need an understanding of the basic requirements: both physically and technically. In this segment, you will learn proper casting wardrobe, model bags, fundamentals of runway casting, and the various types of walks from couture, swim/sport, and informal presentations.
Week 6: Model Marketing
How to use social media as a model/influencer/ambassador – Being on social media does not make one a true influencer or ambassador. Learn the tricks of the trade to building a smart and engaging following. Know what type of images you should be posting and how to negotiate product contracts without giving your name away for free or overexposing yourself. Learn how to use your status to build your brand!
