Water-based painting goes back to ancient times. It is engraved in our history and many cultures of the world.

Named for its primary components; watercolor is immediate, intuitive, and pure. A reflection of the self, since it does not leave much time to the mind. Like life itself, its outcome is uncertain, as water and pigments travel through the paper creating spontaneous worlds, effects, and results. It is subtle but complex, ancestral and current, a call to admire and wonder.

Holy Cross Health in partnership with ArtServe, an award-winning non-profit arts incubator, presents AQUARELLE – an exhibition featuring exceptional works by 12 South Florida female artists, members of the Gold Coast Watercolor Society, to foster the advancement of this medium in the arts.
