Craig W. Johnson has been named executive director of ArtServe, an arts-services organization based in Fort Lauderdale. He was president and CEO of the Center for Contemporary Dance, a nonprofit based in Winter Park that he founded and led for 17 years. Johnson has a degree in biology from Rollins College.

More than 100 artists participated in ArtBrazil: A Journey through the Brazilian Experiences, an ArtServe exhibition founded, produced and curated by Jade Matarazzo.

ArtBrazil included installation works, photography, paintings, sculptures and other art forms expressing each individual’s artistic fingerprint. “The vitality of today's contemporary Brazilian art scene is recognized and around the world,” ArtServe President and CEO Jaye Abbate said in a statement. “Nowhere is it more alive than in South Florida, an area rich in Brazilian communities, tourists and dazzling Brazilian culture.”
