ArtsUnited, the local visual, performing and literary arts organization, isn’t just planning a party to celebrate its 20thanniversary. The group will mark the occasion with a special month-long festival, including exhibitions, poetry readings, book signings and artist roundtables in locations across Fort Lauderdale, Oakland Park and Wilton Manors.


ArtServe explores Brazilian experiences in ArtBrazil exhibition

More than 100 artists participated in ArtBrazil: A Journey through the Brazilian Experiences, an ArtServe exhibition founded, produced and curated by Jade Matarazzo.

ArtBrazil included installation works, photography, paintings, sculptures and other art forms expressing each individual’s artistic fingerprint. “The vitality of today's contemporary Brazilian art scene is recognized and around the world,” ArtServe President and CEO Jaye Abbate said in a statement. “Nowhere is it more alive than in South Florida, an area rich in Brazilian communities, tourists and dazzling Brazilian culture.”
